Here at Viva Towers, we like creative campaigns that are a bit out of the ordinary. Hitting the headlines this morning is the PR stunt that saw thousands of people shed their clothes to take part in a mass photo shoot outside the Sydney Opera House.
People of all ages, shapes and sizes assembled on the shell-shaped building's steps for renowned American artist Spencer Tunick, who photographed them with hands raised, lying down and embracing.
The relevance for the nakedness? To tell the world that Australians embrace a free and equal society. It has certainly attracted attention, but when a campaign thinks outside the box, it runs the risk of burying the key message in the stunt.
But we’re giving it top marks for creativity – and bravery! And if nothing else, it has at least succeeding in generating masses of free publicity.
