  Hurstwood is a fast-growing developer, covering all aspects of the property world. Their business strategy meant they wanted to improve their profile in the North West, in particular in the Manchester and Cheshire areas. The company had a long established reputation in the north of the region, but was less well known in the target area of Manchester. Breaking into that area meant the company had to raise its profile considerably.
  
  Strategy
  While the business focus shifted to Manchester, so too did the PR campaign. Among the key targets was the Commercial Property pages of the Manchester Evening News - a weekly feature page in the paper’s business section, read by the entire property community. Other targets included North West Insider and Entrepreneur Magazine. One method of attracting newsdesk and business editor interest in the company was to bombard them with regular press releases which ticked the right boxes. There was a constant drip-feed of news about Hurstwood projects and personnel. At the same time, the company was a keen entrant and enjoyed much success in a number of business awards.
  
  Results
  In just 12 months, the company has featured 15 times in the Manchester Evening News’ commercial property pages and on the front cover of Insider Magazine, as well as in a variety of other trade and regional newspapers. Not only has the campaign helped to generate coverage worth thousands of pounds, when compared to the advertising equivalent, but more importantly from a business perspective, Hurstwood’s profile among the North West’s property community has never been higher. The company has also benefited from its new, high profile by winning a host of business awards, which in turn have helped to feed their ongoing PR campaign.
