Project Overview
Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom manufacturer JJO has been a client of Viva for many years, so when they decided to launch a company newsletter they turned to us to make it happen.
Objective
The brief was to produce a full-colour four-page newsletter to go out to all staff at JJO, on a bi-monthly basis.
JJO employs over 400 people from in and around the local area. The idea behind the newsletter was to bring the large workforce together, to highlight the jobs and achievements of employees and, broadcast the latest company news.
Strategy
By liaising with a key contact at the firm we were able to delve into the world of JJO and create a magazine style publication filled with features on the employees and their jobs and hobbies, company news, retirements, charity events, fun competitions and photographs.
The benefits include
• Fostering greater employee harmony
• Improving internal communications
• Greater understanding of different aspects of the business
• Introduce new senior staff members to the employees
• External PR opportunities
Since launching the JJO Journal in June 2010 we have identified some great stories from the company, for example, a feature which we wrote helped one employee with setting-up a Down Syndrome awareness group and, we were able to get another employee featured on the radio and Granada Reports, as well as keeping up-to-date with company news and events.
What they say
“We have used the services of Viva for many years with great results and, in the last 18 months with the help of their expertise and knowledge we have developed a company magazine that has been a great success with our employees and customer base.”
David Tomlinson, Transport Manager.
