New Secretary of State for Sport, Media and Culture, Andy Burnham claims to be an Everton fan but was spotted recently proudly clutching
a copy of Tony Garner’s peon to Bolton Wanderers — ‘10 Years At
The Reebok.’
Well that’s the spin dude’s version
of events.

Another — which sources close to the Minister suggest more closely resembles the truth - is that the Labour Minister was in the area to officially open a new warehouse for Viva client, JJOplc. Knowing he’s a football fan, Tony gave him a copy of the book to read on his trip back to Westminster (he wants it back, mind!).
‘True Blue’ Andy took it with good grace and actually showed he knows his stuff when it comes to the beautiful game by quickly pointing out that Everton played in the first game at the Reebok, though his version of that particular match varies quite considerably than the one that actually happened — well according to the author, that is.

Three peaks. No problem. £1,000 quid for charity. Piece of cake. Well, thanks to all of you lot, that is. In fact, we have raised more than £1,600. So, thanks to everyone, especially to the Hurstwood 3 who were released for the day and joined us on the hike. And thanks to everyone for reading these diary notes. I promise this will be the last mentioned of it (this year).
