What Viva being employee owned means to our people
Viva has never followed the crowd — we do our own thing. That’s why we became an employee owned business.
We are in essence a people business and we’ve been successful thanks to the talent of our people and the culture we have fostered.
This is what being employee owned means to our people:
“For me, becoming employee owned means safety, security and ambition. The transition into an employee owned business reaffirms everything I believed about Viva. It is a person-centric business – whether it’s clients or employees – and there are people at the heart of every decision.
“This means that the fundamentals of Viva will stay the same despite the period of change, which is incredibly reassuring. Viva’s idiosyncrasies are what I love about it. Quite simply, becoming employee owned is such a Viva move.”

Dan Flynn
“I think becoming employee owned is an incredibly positive move. It demonstrates a commitment to continuity and stability and also shows a certain amount of trust in the employees. Giving employees a direct stake in the success of the company is in line with our values at Viva, solidifies our position as a truly employee-focused organisation, and sets us apart from our competitors.
“As one of the few companies, and especially PR agencies, to make this transition, it highlights yet again Viva’s forward-thinking approach and how we try to always be one step ahead of the curve.”

Jac Jordan
“It’s exciting! Our focus on delivering success for our clients and our team remains unchanged. Added to this we all have a clear, shared vision for the future of Viva, which is something that we can all play a part in, and benefit from.
“Viva is, and always has been, a great team – so being employee owned is the perfect way to continue to drive forward and deliver impact, together.”

Joanna Marshall
“For me, being employee owned means stability and a next phase for Viva that we’re all part of.
“It feels exciting and inclusive – we’re all going to benefit from driving the business forward, together. There’s no elephant in the room where the direction of the business is concerned, and as an employee this is reassuring.”

Amy Scott
“It’s great to be a part of a business that thrives on a hive mindset, and being employee owned is simply an extension of that. We work closely together as a team already, so in one sense not much changes in terms of our collaborative nature.
“Each person is celebrated for what they bring to the table, and being employee owned does exemplify the trust that Tony has in the team. I know management worked hard to ensure this change was in our best interests, so I’m looking forward to what’s in store for Viva’s next chapter!”
