CoolKit named Lancashire’s Medium Business of the Year 2023

CoolKit, the UK’s largest specialist in temperature-controlled vans, took home the highly prestigious Medium Business Award at the Red Rose Awards 2023 at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

The award comes as Coolkit completes a restructuring of its executive team following the announcement of its record order intake of £20.1 million for 2022.

Founder and chief executive, Rupert Gatty, has promoted finance director Daniel Miller – who joined the business last year to oversee digital transformation and growth – to managing director.

Coolkit has also launched its CoolSelecta configurator in 2023, enabling customers to visualise their conversion and help inform their choice in terms of which make, model and specification might be best for them.

Newly-appointed Managing Director, Daniel Miler, led the team in receiving the award in front of more than 1,000 business people from across Lancashire, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement and a tribute to each and every one of our wonderful, hard-working staff.

“We have absolutely no plans to stop here and are excited to carry on our growth journey over the coming 12-months.”

Businesses from the length and breadth of the county vied for titles across a range of categories at the Red Rose Awards 2023. Only the best of the best, as selected by a panel of expert judges, progressed through to the shortlist and a rigorous interview stage before being rewarded for their excellence.

The judges said: “CoolKit is an exceptional business that has shown fantastic progress in all aspects of the business – people, profits, community and sustainability – which have all developed into further strategies to promote CoolKit’s growth.

“There is a sense of focus and a journey of ambition and progress which manifests with good employee engagement, well-defined career paths, customer satisfaction, corporate social responsibility and progression into the export market.”
