A big hello and welcome to Paul!

Viva has a new recruit this month – Account Executive Paul Cooper has joined us from our friends at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

He’s already been working on a wide variety of clients including Audenshaw School, Zigaflow, 6G Internet, and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust’s Resilience Hub campaign.

Over the past eight years, he’s worked on a wide variety of projects at the Council from bins, apprenticeship recruitment campaigns, elections, arts projects and even with global clothing brand Adidas! “That was an experience,” he says.

Paul was a member of Cohort Six at The Juice Academy in Manchester – he graduated with a level 3 qualification in Social Media and Digital Marketing.

As a Juice Academy apprentice at the tender age of 16, he started work at the council alongside his studies, moving his way up to his most recent role as Multimedia Officer.

He’s led on the Council’s social media and managed corporate channels throughout his time there. He’s done everything from writing internal news, press releases for the Council’s news site, graphic design, photography and videography.

Paul explains he was ready for a new challenge, saying: “I’ve known about Viva for some time now and noticed quite a lot of the work they did through Blackburn BID and more recently with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council as a client.

“Viva’s impressive client list and multiple award wins made me realise I wanted to work here. I’m excited to get stuck into all the different projects and make my own mark on the team, and I can’t wait to get some of my own clients too.

“I’d like to help get some more trophies on the shelves for Viva and I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the team (not over Teams), hopefully over a few drinks!

“The Juice Academy was a great experience, learning the ropes while in a job placement, and it’s one I’ll always be grateful for.”
