Viva Vacancy: Account Exec

Viva is expanding the team. Recent account wins means there is an opportunity to join our award-winning team as an Account Exec.

We are looking for someone with experience — you’ll either know your way around an agency or a newsroom (or both).

We’re based in Rawtenstall, though post-lockdown, will be operating a mix of office and home working.

In 2019, Viva was named the north’s best small PR Agency of the Year by both the CIPR and PRCA and this year we have won the PRCA’s Workplace Champions award, recognising our commitment to health and wellbeing on a national scale.

Our clients are a mix of engineering, aerospace, public sector, charities and schools. It’s more than a job – it’s a way of thinking, a lifestyle, a family.

(Salary £23-£29.5k depending on experience)

You will be expected to have both social and traditional media skills. The role involves:

• Copywriting skills are a must.
• Generating effective positive news coverage, in broadcast, print and digital media, and placing spokespeople as commentators.
• Liaising with clients and the media daily, to build trusted working relationships.
• Working on media events.
• Contributing to creative campaign ideas.
• Creating content across key channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Canva and video editing skills preferred.
• Liaising with clients via telephone and email.
• Proactively seeking opportunities by jumping on news events and trends.

We believe that happy, healthy teams are more creative and productive — and that equals happier clients. We now employ a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Manager who is also a trained Mental Health First Aider, providing a point of contact and signposting people to appropriate support.

We provide free yoga and bootcamp classes every week, as well as our daily 20-minute walk out sessions, which encourage staff to leave the office whenever they want to get some fresh air. We also offer time off each year to allow people to carry out volunteering.
